Double update whammy.  Ahhh, feels so good.  And yet, also feels strangely nerve-wracking.  The longer I let time pass between updates, the more I fear that readers forget the subtle nuisances as to why the characters act as they do.

Ah well - that’s what review replies are for!

My happy dance, for serious. Now, to settle down and finish this property reading before I start marathon reviewing the chapters of stories (all of, like, two) that I’ve missed since August.

The end is in sight.

Only three more chapters of Worth - well, two chapters and an epilogue - and then I can get back to writing Trovommi Amor and editing Worth proper for posting from kmeme to ff.net!

Law school, you ain’t gonna kill my muses.  No way, no how!

Oh, oh, oh, and Lady Winde says she’s going to draw more fanart, and so we are over the moon!

As much as I vow that I won’t finish Chapter 38 of Trovommi Amor until I get to Chapter 47 of Worth…I think I may cave. ;_; Sh-sh-shirtless Carver sparring match.

In my defense, at least I wrote Worth 44.

Worth Excerpt “The Wedding Chapter”

“Men love to relinquish their control,” added the Empress.  “It excites them, and few things ensnare a man longer than love making that has him aching for more.  I have watched,” she sneered, “many women lose their men to the affections of other women by virtue of their inability to sate their husbands’ appetites.  To mount him, to ride him like a beast, is the position of the mistress.  And if you claim that position before she does, he will never know peace in another woman’s arms.”

At the talk of mistresses, Marcelle looked absolutely stricken.  Her eyes were wide and her cheeks were hollow.  “He would never have a mistress.”

“Even King Alistair,” the Empress extended an arm towards the King of Fereldan who was smiling happily and chatting with his pretty wife, “has mistresses, and look how happy he appears with his wife.  It is in the nature of men to wander.  It is in the nature of women to make them return.  If you cannot make Sebastian Vael return to you, you will have his affection by your title and children only.”

“I think,” the Warden Commander said quietly, “that we have spoken enough of marital politics enough for the sake of the bride.”

“You are lucky that you never married, Aurora,” the Empress swung her head in the direction of the small group of Grey Wardens on the outskirt of the festivities.

“Does the Dirigeant,” the Warden Commander asked, “ever stray?”

“No.”  The Empress smiled cryptically.  She and the Warden Commander shared a knowing look.

Marcelle coughed quietly and canted her head in the direction of her husband.  She had gone as white as the dress she wore.  “I must speak to other guests,” she said in a surprisingly steady tone of voice, despite her shaking hands.  “I will speak with you both again soon.”

Watching Marcelle depart towards her husband, the Warden Commander leaned in close to the Empress of Orlais.  “She is going to tell her husband what you said.”

The Empress only chuckled at that.  “Good.  Let the girl tell her prince that I am watching, and let the prince always fear that I could be right.”

Needs some more polishing… but damn it, I have to go and break my own rules about writing scenes too far in the future (well, I think we’re one or two chapters off this scene in the Kmeme…and at least twenty five chapters away from it on ff.net). I think love Empress Celene more than I love my Warden. lol.

Going through my photobucket and looking at the images, I stumbled across this little beauty.
LadyWinde: so I’m trying to draw Sebastian’s armor from Worth...any thoughts?
Icey: He has princely upgrades.  Here, let me show you.
LadyWinde: …did you do to Andraste what I…and he has a CROWN.
Icey: :3
She did quite all right with it though. ;)

Currently in the process of writing Marcelle’s wedding planning trials.  After raunchy dress fitting, the next that came to mind was food.
You KNOW you would find these two ladies in Sebastian Vael’s kitchen.  I just wonder if readers will get the reference!
